I think you misread what I meant with the whole picture thing, or perhaps, I didn't make myself clear enough. In Little God, as I said in my review, the image shown "just floated there obnoxiously." It would've been better to just not have included the image in there at all, or, better yet, he could've simply fixed the perspective by editing the picture a bit. Never said anything about having no pictures at all with the NVL style.

You bring up Fate/Stay Night. In that visual novel, you see 3/4ths of a character's body behind all the NVLness, all within perspective. In Little God, however, you see this character picture overlayed over the background image and it's there, not at all like how FSN had done it. The awkwardness of the whole thing doesn't matter to everyone, but to those it does, then it breaks the experience a little. You mentioned it yourself that the art's important, too, and yeah, that counts as part of the whole visual art. When it works it works and when it doesn't, it's awkward. *shrug*

I'm sticking to everything I've already said in my review. :)

I agree with you on some of the earlier comments but when it comes to pictures ive gotta say, there is nothing wrong with having a large amount of pictures with the nvl style, fate/stay being a prime example of it being done well. in my eyes, if you want a full story and no pictures where u can think of it all yourself, go read a book.. because when it comes to visual novels the arts just as important imo to the story in alot of cases.

on another note all this moaning about cliches and stuff... man its obvious uve played to many youve just started to hate it all. because imo a few cliches are fine its all about how the final product is exicuted and how it moves the person reading more than anything. i dunno some people just cant sit down and enjoy stuff now a days

I agree with you on the majority of your points. And yet, when it's all said and done, I feel like I was only given a teaser of what should be a fuller-bodied work. I felt like I only just began to know the characters just as it reached the end.
